It’s just a really delicious wine. Crafted from biodynamically cultivated old vines, this Pernaud flows across the palate with the slow, sensuous ripple of silk charmeuse. Ripe grilled plums, petrichor, smoke and baking spices put this ’09 on the dark side of the Burgundy spectrum, but it’s nonetheless fresh, lively and even a bit saucy. Drinking well into the next decade.
