With a body like a heavyweight boxer, this ’09 is fleshy, powerful and dense. But for all of its unabashed masculinity, this wine has a sensual power to it, gorgeous floral aromatics, and a reticence to it. It’s kind of the George Foreman of Burgundies with its sweet red fruits that rest atop a bed of earth. A rich mouth-feel, a juicy freshness, and a lingering finish make this wine a pure pleasure. Drinking to the end of the decade.
