This blend of Sangiovese touched with Teroldego, the obscure red grape from Trentino, holds a glorious cigar-box-meets-spice-box nose. Like smoking a hookah in a pasha’s tent, this ruby-red wine provides an intense olfactory experience of pipe tobacco, cardamom, licorice and wildflowers that works in harmony with its palate marked by frutti di bosco drizzled with balsamic vinegar and kissed by vanilla. Delicious and drinking for the next decade.

- Region: Toscana
- Subregion: Colline Lucchesi
Qualified among the most prestigious wines of Tuscany, this wine shows the great potential of the Sangiovese vine variety. Here the Sangiovese, which is strongly predominant in percentage, is combined with the Teroldego (a grape varietal which is indigenous to Northern Italy). The Teroldego grapes come from a small vineyard of the winery which is more than 40 years old. The Sangiovese, which remains the predominant element of this wine, is enriched with the expressivity of the Teroldego.
Its color is intense ruby red, the bouquet offers a wonderful olfactory range which starts with initial emanations of red berry fruits and it develops towards spicy aromas, where the richness of vanilla, tobacco and light balsamic notes gradually prevail with a remarkable persistence. The taste reveals a great structure, supported with a good acidity and with mature, well-balanced tannins. It finishes generously and with persistence, providing with ethereal aromas and a reminiscence of liquorice.
