Studio Regionale—Educational Wine Tastings
Two formats, all led by an IWM sommelier:

• “A Taste of” offers a casual tasting experience, providing a general regional or topical overview in a walk-around, relaxed context. Participants receive a complimentary selection of Italian regional cheeses and house-cured meats along with a tasting booklet featuring IWM’s proprietary notes.

• “A Study of” program takes on a more formal and sophisticated approach, addressing the history and philosophy of the wines considered. This “sit-down”caters to those looking to refine their wine knowledge and tasting ability. Participants receive a complimentary sampling of Italian regional foods prepared by IWM chefs and a tasting booklet featuring IWM’s proprietary notes.

Barolo, Barbaresco

The titillation of Barolo can remain locked away for years. A Barbaresco can instantly take you into the world of Barolo, only sooner, as the more approachable Nebbiolo-based wine. It seems the wine world is always waiting for Barolo. Winemakers wait well into October and November to harvest the extremely late-ripening variety while the Barbaresco produce a wine of approachability and complexity since it is aged for less time than the Barolo. Both offer different sides of the Nebbiolo and are classic examples of the great Nebbiolo. We’ve decide to unlock our treasure trove of some great Barolos and Barbarescos for a tasting this September 11, featuring a mix of wines from some of Piemonte’s best producers.

Participants receive:
• As a courtesy to our guests, IWM is extending a one time 20% discount on the wines featured at each tasting seminar valid the day of the event.
• Tasting Booklet that includes IWM’s proprietary notes

Billing Note: During order checkout, please select 'Pick Up @ IWM' as your shipping method. Your order acts as a reservation, meaning no items will be shipped; however, NYC tax rates are applied.

Cancellation Policy: Due to the fact that most of our tastings have a wait list, cancellations with a full refund are accepted up to 48 hours prior to tasting date. No refunds will be granted for cancellations after this point. Walk-ins are welcome, however priority will be given to those holding a confirmed reservation.
