2007 was a great year for Barolo and it was especially great for the wines of Paolo Scavino. Rich, structured, nuanced and kissed with all the ethereal qualities of a great Barolo, the wines of 2007 embody what a great vintage can do--both now and as the wines age. This tasting case offers not only a collection of '07s from Paolo Scavino, but it gives connoisseurs the opportunity to see how single-plot wines interpret the same vintage. This collection included the phenomenal Monvigliero, a wine that only IWM carries in the US, along with the cult Carobric, the opulent Bric del Fiasc, the powerful Bricco Ambrogio and the approachable Cannubi. To make this case even more spectacular, we've also included the '05 Rocche dell'Annunziata Riserva, a wine that flows with the texture of silk brocade, as well as a copy of Sergio Esposito's memoir Passion on the Vine, which dedicates an entire chapter to Enrico Scavino.
