Similar to Toscana, the sunny, Abruzzo climate and cooler nights provide ample climate for the Montepulciano grape. When normally produced, the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo produces a rich red wine; the Cerasuolo style is a rose version of this wine. After harvest, the wine is in contact with the grape skins for only a few hours leaving a lighter, fresher rose wine. Cantina Frentana's Montelpulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Cerasuolo is cherry red in color and soft on the palate with a delicate bouquet and nutty finish.

Cantina Frentana Per Linda is located in Rocca San Giovanni, a province of Chieti. This is an agricultural cooperation formed by 500 vine growers who attend 750 hectares of vineyards in the Area Frentana, a name that is derived by the ancient people, Frentani, who populated that region. The cantina was founded in 1958 by the doctor, Francesco D'Agostino, who was trying to protect the local producers from the uncertainties linked to the free market of the grapes. At first, the idea was to vinify the grapes and sell the wine to bottling companies. Over time, this society became a winery itself and took over the entire process of winemaking. This evolution required ample changes to the productive and organizational model of operation. The company added a lot more attention and care to the quality of each different phase of the process, from the vineyards implants to the bottling, and the sales services. Per Linda, is a private label that Cantina Frentana is making especially with Vignaioli Selection, with the guaranty of its highest quality and care each step of the way.
