Powerful, smooth, ripe, balanced and feisty, this ’06 Chianti Classico Riserva feels like cornering in a Fiat spider. It’s a gorgeous classic Chianti with the racy lines, silky mouth-feel, and the spiciness that you want in your Chianti, with a streak of minerality to balance its core of luscious fruit to boot. Drinking for the next half decade, likely longer.

Le Corti Estate comprises fifty hectares of vineyards, which mainly southern facing and slope towards the Terzona torrent, an affluent of the Pesa River. The agricultural estate is located on ancient alluvial soils at an altitude which varies from 220 to 350 meters above sea level. The terrain has good fertility with excellent drainage. Vines are trained in a spurred cordon cultivation system so as to benefit from the earth's warmth. Grapes are fermented and aged in seventeenth century cellars located just beneath the garden.
