There’s something undeniably romantic about an island. The remoteness, the unusual landscape, the wild weather all work a certain magic on our imaginations—and on grapes. Join us for this walk around tasting that will explore the untamed wines of Italy’s best-loved island wine regions: Sicilia, Sardegna and Corsica (not technically Italian but imbued with Italian wine traditions). We’ll be tasting wines from Sicilia’s most dynamic trio, COS, as well as those from Graci, an estate on the lava-rich slopes of Etna; we’ll also pour wines from the Giacomo Tachis-led Punica and from Corsica’s Domaine Vico—all accompanied by regional meats and cheeses. Chock full of indigenous grapes, ancient methods, caring producers and wild terroir, this tasting will take you for a walk on the island side. You may never want to come back.
