What is Free Shipping?
Italian Wine Merchants will ship wine orders in excess of $99 (taxes not included) free of charge to the State of New York

Free Shipping Terms and Conditions:
  • The free shipping promotion is a ground service shipping method.  Shipping times, duration and delivery all determined by the individual carrier. 
  • All orders destined to ship to a NY State address are subject to NY Tax.
  • Does not apply to gift orders with multiple addresses. 
  • Delivery time (to your home or business) is determined by the carrier (UPS, FedEx ), not Italian Wine Merchants. 
  • Italian Wine Merchants shipping cut off daily is 3PM.
  • Wine orders order $500 will receive free hand delivery within New York City to one address.
*Italian Wine Merchants reserves the right to determine the shipping provider at the time of shipment.

What is Strategic Shipping?

Italian Wine Merchants employs a technique known as 'Strategic Shipping'.  Our Strategic Shipping Method is one that treats your wine purchase like it's our own.  Our baby if you will.  Our only intention is to manage and maintain the health of your wine. 

We always advise:
  • Never to ship over a weekend as your wine has a chance to be stored in a warehouse with no climate control.
  • Always have an adult (over 21) available to sign for your packages as they arrive.
  • Ship to a business if and when possible.  Both UPS and FedEx tend to delivery to business addresses FIRST.  
Weather Restrictions:

Italian Wine Merchants reserves the right to hold shipments due to weather deemed too hot or too cold for the health of the wine.

Delivery Options:

  • Same Day/Next Day -  ASAP on the day requested. Manhattan only.  Portfolio Manager's will work with our shipping department to acquire rapid transit for your packages.
  • UPS/FedEx Shipping - Delivery in 2 - 7 business days by UPS, FedEx or a similar shipping service
The Italian Wine Merchants works with UPS and FedEx to provide superlative shipping services.  Rates are determined completely by the weight of your package and contents within. 

Do I need to sign for my wine shipment?

Yes, is the easy answer.  In order for the Italian Wine Merchants to maintain a compliant form of wine shipping, each wine shipment is required to be signed for by an adult of 21 years of age or older.  We tend to recommend to ship your wine to a business in order to insure an adult signature.

Adult Signature Required for all Deliveries

  • By law all alcohol orders require an adult signature for delivery, so please send your wine to a home or business address where an adult 21 or older is present to sign for receipt.
  • Delivery must be accepted by a person, at least 21 years old, willing to sign and accept delivery. 
  • Delivery must be accepted by a person, at least 21 years old who is not visibly intoxicated, or in any other way not allowed by the State of New York or the governing State of your location to be served alcohol.

RETURNS

Cancellation Policy:  Cancelled orders are orders that have been placed by the Buyer that have not yet been delivered. A processing fee of 10% will be assessed at the time of the issuance of a credit, regardless of the reason for cancellation.


Return Policy: Returned orders are any order that has been delivered and then returned or declined by the Buyer. For all returns, a restocking fee of 15% of the sales amount will be charged. Purchases may be returned in original packaging within 30 days from the purchase date provided the wine is of the current vintage.


Special Orders: Unfortunately special orders, including wines not carried by IWM HOLDINGS, back vintages, special sizes and other customer requests that fall outside of normal stock cannot be returned.
