The holiday season means a whirlwind of dinners, parties, giving gifts and celebrating life. It means cooking for hours and then sitting for hours and eating, delightedly. It means seeing people you only see a couple of times a year and remembering how much you love them, and it means seeing people you see every day in a glittering, glowing, wonderful light.
It's the day before the night before Christmas. The holiday season can feel like an amusement park ride: almost before it seems to begin, it's over. All the fun and all the festivities can make things slip our minds, so we've chosen today's eLetter features to help with those things you might have forgotten. For example, we've selected one of our favorite Proseccos from Col Vetoraz and one of our favorite wallet-friendly Grower Champagnes from Guy Charlemagne because maybe you've forgotten to stock enough bubbly for next week's New Year's Eve party or New Year's Day brunch. These wines will fill that gap, without stress and with great flavor.
And if you've forgotten to gift someone special, we're offering 20% off six or twelve-month subscriptions to all four of our wine clubs. I'm very proud of our wine clubs--after all, one of them bears my name--rather than sending off odd wine lots to our members, as some other wine clubs do, we handpick wines for our clubs; they're wines you'd find in our e-Letter and on our shelves with the same provenance, thoughtful choosing, temperature control and all you've come to expect from IWM.
Here's to wringing the best from this last week of holiday cheer, to enjoying the dizzy ride, and to showing the people you love how much you care.
