Happy Holidays! It’s IWM’s Amarone Flash Sale!
December 26, 2017
A Note from Sergio

It's time to celebrate Amarone! The late, great Giuseppe Quintarelli was the master of the iconoclastic, traditional, unhurried, nearly primeval, method of winemaking. Romano dal Forno, however, has an almost showman's flair for innovation and reinterpretation. And yet, as divergent as they are, Quintarelli and Dal Forno complement one another. Almost anyone who knows about Dal Forno knows that he studied under Quintarelli, and anyone who has had the undisputed pleasure to drink a Dal Forno Valpolicella or Amarone has enjoyed the fruits of his study. The student, like the teacher, uniformly makes exceptional wines, even if the wines each of these producers creates are like no other wines on earth.

The wines of both Dal Forno and Quintarelli are like great art; you may like one more than the other, but you can't dispute the quality of either producer's Amarone. While very different, these two winemaking estates have set the standards for Amarone, a wine that is confounding, befuddling, overwhelming, and altogether mesmerizing. It's Boxing Day, the day after Christmas; you're still in holiday mode, and nothing will keep that luxurious holiday feeling like a bottle of Amarone. Today, I picked almost 40 bottles of Amarone from a bunch of producers--including the two masters mentioned above--and I'm offering these spellbinding wines at very special pricing. I'm not sure that we've ever had an Amarone Flash sale before, so today is very special! Pick some favorites, and share them with people you love!

Enjoy!
