Giuseppe Quintarelli, ever idiosyncratic about his wines' release times, released his 2000 Amarone Riserva Selezione in 2010, and now with maturity, this wine is showing to be a celestial creation, worthy of the late, great Master of the Veneto. Spending ten years in cask before bottling, this is the only Riserva Selezione bottling Quintarelli ever made, and each bottle is numbered. Delicate and balanced, this Amarone gathers power and intensity in the glass, revealing an ethereal combination of flowers, berries, and spices. Rare, collectable and outrageously delicious, the '00 Selezione is a testament to the incomparable artistry of its maker.
