It's the day before Thanksgiving. Most of you are probably cutting work short; maybe you have travel plans, maybe you're fitting in a few preparations before the big Thanksgiving meal, or maybe you're taking advantage of the hush in business that precedes every big holiday. In any case, you're looking forward to tomorrow's feast, seeing family and friends, and enjoying the most American of winter's holidays.
Food, family, friends, and love are some of the things that make life sweet--and all of them are better with really good wine. Today's offer is dedicated to wine that's delicious, heart-warming, and terrific with food. First, I'm very pleased to have snagged a new allocation of Tua Rita's big, gorgeous 2012 Redigaffi. This is one full-throttle Italian Merlot, and it will make you smile from the inside out. Second, Raffaele Palma on the Amalfi Coast is one of my recent discoveries, and his red, Montecorvo, drinks with a windswept beauty. Finally, I'm delighted to present nine magnums from Burgundy's Domaine Ponsot; you can't easily find these wines, and all are incredible.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day holiday! And if you're in New York City on Friday, make plans to stop by IWM for our Black Friday tasting. Consider this your official invitation--let your portfolio manager know you'll be coming, but do it soon because space is limited. We're pouring more than twenty wines at this complimentary event, and it's going to be very festive and very tasty.
