De Conciliis Greco di Tufo 'Oro' 2017 750ml
In Stock
Price: $24.99
Special Price: $12.99
From the high altitudes of Campania’s Cilento zones comes this riveting Greco di Tufo, a grape that loves the high life and the volcanic soils of the region. This delicious, food-friendly ’17 Greco di Tufo has a fruity and herbaceous perfume that invites comparison to Viognier, and the wine layers its bright citrus, ripe peaches and pears with pine nuts, cypress, and almond. A sweet inner perfume finds its complement in penetrating minerality and mouth-watering acidity, making it the perfect accompaniment for a summer seafood salad or pizza margherita. Deriving from volcanic, chalky soils, Greco grapes ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel, and the wine ages for seven months in steel before resting in bottle for three months prior to release.
Schiena Vini Impero Primitivo di Manduria 2017 750ml
In Stock
Price: $21.99
Special Price: $16.99
Finessed and elegant, this ’17 Impero Primitivo wafts from the glass with a profusion of cherries, berries, rose petals, Mediterranean scrub, white pepper and licorice. For all its power, this wine feels almost weightless, layering its copious dry extract with silky tannins and vivid acidity, and filling the mouth with a marvelous texture as it slinks to a sustained finish. This mono-varietal Primitivo is grown with sustainable practices and harvested by hand; grapes ferment for about two weeks in temperature-controlled stainless steel, and the wine ages for three months in steel, followed by three months in barrique.
Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Rosso 2018 750ml
In Stock
Price: $24.99
Special Price: $19.99
“The 2018s provide a lighter and friendlier interpretation – a departure from the more austere expressions of the torrid and challenging 2017 vintage. The Etna Rosso here is a blend from Terre Nere’s top vineyards, and right from the pull of the cork the aromatics scream Italy with explosive red fruit, punch, minerality and wild herbs. On the palate it is a mouthful dripping with wild berries, cranberry, candied fruit, a touch of plum, citrus, and spice with a dry, tannic Nebbiolo-like finish. It is here that with you really experience the influence of the volcanic soil with additional nuances of smoke and tar that marry together with herbaceous undertones. The wine does benefit with aeration. This is Nerello Mascalese (95%) and Nerello Cappuccio (5%) that will transport you to Southern Italy begging for pizza with fatty pork sausage. Huge value-driven crowd pleaser.”

2018 CRISTOM VINEYARDS MT. JEFFERSON CUVEE PINOT NOIR
Christopher Deas, Italian Wine Merchants: “I have preached about this so many times before – if you wanna fall in love with Oregon Pinot Noir...look no further than what is the signature of the region! And with the 2018 vintage and its consecutive run, this our Lou Gerhig of American Pinot. Sure, it has Burgundian sensibility, but it screams Willamette Valley and not Sonoma. Its intoxicating nose once again grabs you by the nostrils from across the table with notes of rose petals, black raspberries, sour strawberries, macerated cherries, cranberries, star anise, with citrus, herbs, chalk, and salinity joining the party on the palate. There’s plenty of generous ripe 2018 fruit here, and it is a slightly richer, more powerful wine than the leaner 2017. However, the signature brightness and savory note of this wine remains on full display. There is simply a mastery of whole cluster fermentation and this is a wine that is about balance, tension and energy, with an awesome core of rich fruit – just hinting at its full potential. It is a wine that evolves and changes in the glass, with an inner perfume that just echoes and lingers on the finish - so enjoy this over the evening with food, family and friends. What can I say that has not been said before – this is just an awesome expression of Pinot Noir delivered with tremendous value.”
Canalicchio di Sopra Rosso di Montalcino 2019 750ml
Price: $47.99
Special Price: $37.99
Christopher Deas, Italian Wine Merchants: “Delizioso – it is once again the perfect word to sum up this transporting giant. One sniff and it does send you to Tuscany in first class. It’s is one of the more serious Rosso di Montalcino with fruit from the Canalicchio cru, as well as a percentage from the grand cru vineyard of Montosoli. In tasting this wine in a line-up of some of our favorite Rosso di Montalcino, we can say firsthand this is a wine that captures the generosity of the vintage. Whereas the neighboring 2019 Le Potazzine captured a more high-toned and feminine expression, this is simply a more expansive Rosso, with a mouthful of generous fruit, but with supporting tannins and acidity that jump out with a little airtime. It simply has texture with freshness, and you can expect nuances of black cherries, plums, herbs and minerality. Let this wine breathe an hour and you will find more depth to this little Rosso that stains the palate for a persistent and long saline finish. It is another highly recommended house wine from IWM that will send you to Tuscany with each meal.”

Canalicchio di Sopra Rosso di Montalcino 2017 750ml
In Stock
Price:
$39.99
2017 saw a challenging vintage in Montalcino, but you’d never know it from Canalicchio di Sopra’s radiant, layered ’17 Rosso di Montalcino. Super-ripe berries and tart cherries dance with underbrush, smoky minerals, new leather, crushed wildflowers, and touches of herbs, dusty spices and blood orange zest in this captivating wine. Silky tannins meld with the wine’s brisk acidity and both linger on the wine’s food-friendly finish. This ’17 Rosso offers an open-knit, silky invitation to early drinking, yet you’ll be able to drink it over the medium term. Deriving primarily from fruit grown on the estate’s youngest vines, the grapes ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel for about two weeks; the wine ages for a year in a combination of oak vats and barriques.
Pian Delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino 2014 750ml
In Stock
Price: $69.99
Special Price: $39.99
Mild, a little damp, and definitely challenging, the 2014 Brunello growing season ended happily for the team at Antinori’s Pian delle Vigne, and the estate’s imminently enjoyable ’14 Brunello matches accessibility with freshness, and silky fruits with savory underpinnings. Underbrush, Christmas spices, violet petals, and autumn leaves frame the crisp red and juicy blue fruits in this smoky, appealing Brunello. Silky tannins and lemony acidity fill the mouth with texture as a mineral-laden, food-friendly finish lingers. This polished, intense Brunello is enjoyable now, but it’ll be even better in a few years. After handpicking, the grapes for this Brunello ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel for about three weeks, and the wine ages for about two years in oak casks of varying sizes.
