Per Linda Cerasuolo 2015 750ml
Offering a vibrant cherry hue, this wine bursts with succulent vine-ripened blackberries, crisp orchard fruits, dew-laden roses and crushed saline minerals; it’s a treat for the senses! A gentle but persistent acidity complements the fruit-forward flavors of this ’15 Cerasuolo, and cheek-piquing minerals linger on the finish, making this charming wine very food-friendly. Grapes ferment in temperature-controlled steel for about two weeks, and the wine ages in stainless steel for six months before bottling. Cerasuolo, the Abbruzzese word for "rosé," shows us how delicious and practical a blush wine made from the Montepulciano grape can be; pair it with classic fish dishes of the Adriatic, as well as pizza and tomato-based pastas.
Per Linda Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2018 750ml
Intense and vibrant, this ’18 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo bursts with brambly blue and juicy red fruits, crushed river rocks, pressed violets, new leather, and kisses of spice. Nicely tannic and vividly acidic, this wine over-delivers at its price point, and it’s a terrific complement to a range of foods--from meaty tomato-based pastas, to burgers off the grill to hard cheeses and cured meats. Deriving from a southeast-facing clay vineyard that sits about 650 feet above sea level, the grapes for this wine ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about two weeks, after which the wine ages in stainless steel for a year before bottling, where it rests for six months before release.
Tenuta di Trecciano Chianti Colli Senesi 2018 750ml
Light, tangy and refreshing, this ’18 Chianti leaps from the glass in a profusion of youthful red and blue fruits, warm earth, violet petals, baking spices, and white pepper. Dusty tannins, electric acidity, and a subtle thrum of earth make this Chianti a food-friendly delight. This mono-varietal Sangiovese derives from compact red soils that are high in minerals; grapes ferment for 30 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel, and the wine ages for seven months in botti, followed by four months in bottle prior to release.

Passion on the Vine - Paperback Edition
Without qualification, the best book about Italian wine today, if only because Sergio Esposito understands that its mysterious greatness is in its poetrythe earth, its diurnal magic, the ghostsof great-grandfathers. A beautiful, boldly sentimental memoir.
Scott Conant Ayla Pinot Grigio 2017 750ml
Honeyed citrus, crisp orchard fruits, white wildflowers, and lush tropical fruits waft from the glass of this delicate ’17 Pinot Grigio. Schiena Vini Tre Compari Primitivo 2017 750ml
Intense red, blue, and black fruits dance against a backdrop of warm earth, violet petals, baking spices, licorice and Mediterranean scrub in this very appealing, plush wine. Fine-grained tannins and a sweet inner perfume find their complements in bright acidity and savory underpinnings in this highly enjoyable, anytime red. This mono-varietal Primitivo is grown with sustainable practices and harvested by hand; grapes ferment for about ten days in temperature-controlled stainless steel, and the wine ages for five months in steel, followed by one month in bottle.
Ca' dei Mandorli Verdecielo Gavi 2017 750ml
Exotic citrus fruits, buttered toast, crushed white wildflowers, and kisses of spice and minerals dance in this fresh, elegant ’17 Verdecielo Gavi. A sweet inner perfume is complemented by a scrumptious strain of acidity, making this wine an ideal complement for fish, seafood, salads or aperitivi. Deriving from a southwest-facing vineyard in a natural amphitheater the heart of the Gavi DOCG, the Cortese grapes are cryo-macerated, a process where the juice sits on the skins at an extremely low temperature prior to fermentation, which lasts 24 hours in stainless steel to enhance the fruit and other flavors. Fermentation lasts three weeks before the wine is aged for four months in steel and then in bottle for an additional four to six months. About 500 cases are produced each vintage.
Domaine Laurens Marcillac Rose 2015 750ml
Bright pink in the glass, this ’15 bottling offers electric elegance, bursting with red berries and citrus fruits, spice and wildflowers. Dry and fleshy, this Marcillac rosé offers bitter cherry and raspberry flavors, making it perfect for wine-lovers looking for a fruit-driven wine reminiscent of a Pinot Noir rosé. This mono-varietal Fer Servadou, called “Mansois” locally, grows on steep terraces with red clay soils just west of Rodez in Languedoc, on a hillside terrace at 1,000-1,600 feet above sea level. Domaine Laurens, organic and family owned and operated, harvests its Fer Servadou by hand in early October, destemming, pressing, and using the saignée method to craft its deep cherry rosé.
