The Barone Pizzini Brut NV is a vibrant, organically farmed Franciacorta that blends Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and a touch of Pinot Bianco. Aromas of citrus blossom, green apple, almond, and brioche lead to a crisp and elegant palate. The bubbles are fine and persistent, enhancing flavors of lemon zest, stone fruit, and toasted hazelnut. A mineral backbone and lively acidity make it exceptionally food-friendly and versatile—from aperitivo to shellfish. This cuvée spends 20–30 months on the lees, delivering complexity without weight. A brilliant introduction to the precision and finesse of organic Franciacorta.
Barone Pizzini is one of the pioneering estates in Franciacorta, both historically and in terms of sustainable innovation. Founded in 1870, it was among the very first to believe in the potential of metodo classico sparkling wines from Lombardy. Today, Barone Pizzini is celebrated not only for its heritage but also as a trailblazer in organic viticulture—being the first estate in Franciacorta to convert entirely to certified organic farming in the early 2000s. The estate manages over 50 hectares of vineyards across the region, with a deep commitment to biodiversity, terroir expression, and minimal intervention winemaking. Fermentation with native yeasts and a restrained use of dosage result in sparkling wines of energy, clarity, and character, often considered benchmarks for the region’s future-forward identity.
