It is about structure and energy with freshness of fruit here, absent here is the dill oak notes that is present in many neighboring wines. There is a Calon Segur like structure to the wine underneath the juicy layer of fruit and chewy tannins. With aeration this wine reveals nuances of black cherry, macerated strawberry, citrus, plum, red licorice, dried flowers, herbs, balsamic, tobacco, leather, and chalky minerality with a complementing streak of salinity.
