One of the great Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou ever produced, this incredible wine vies for the top wine produced in the Saint-Julien appellation for 2010. Composed of a very high portion of Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Merlot, the wine's color is deep purple with an inky hue. The aromas are deep and concentrated with the hallmark scents of pure cassis, spice, chocolate truffles, and a strong cedar smell coming from the 95% new oak used during the 18 months of aging in barrique. Polished, powerful, long, fresh, pure and clean, this wine offers layers of chocolate covered black cherries resonate in the finish. This regal Bordeaux wine remains on your palate for close to a minute.
