Garnet red color with shades of orange that become more evident with the passing of years; a distinctive aroma, ethereal, intense, full of violet and liquorish with hints of vanilla, the taste is warm, full, dry and harmonious. Its austerity is linked to the presence of sweet and complex tannins.
San Giuliano is a small, family-run estate located in Neive, one of the key villages in the Barbaresco DOCG. The estate has been in the Rubino family for generations, and today it is helmed by Guido Rubino, who carries forward a deep-rooted dedication to traditional Piedmontese winemaking. The vineyards, primarily planted to Nebbiolo, are farmed with a strong respect for sustainability and local heritage. With a focus on low yields and minimal intervention, San Giuliano produces expressive wines that capture the purity, finesse, and terroir-driven elegance of Barbaresco. Their philosophy emphasizes aging in large Slavonian oak casks, allowing the Nebbiolo grape to reveal its delicate aromatics and structure without being overshadowed by oak.
