Made since 1891, Cocchi Americano is the aperitif wine that cocktail fans have been trying to get their hands on for years--mostly because it's the closest existing relative to the now defunct Kina Lillet, a necessary component of the famed cocktail known as "Corpse Reviver #2."Moscato wine kissed with brandy, brushed with botanicals, and, most importantly, touched with chinchona bark, the bitter base that creates quinine, Cocchi Americano is alternately sweet, herbaceous and bitter, and when poured into a tumbler of ice, splashed with soda and garnished with orange peel, it makes a delicious aperitif.
