That of Adega do Vulcao is the story of a bond between a Florentine couple and the Azores Islands, born almost by chance in 2008. This unique place captured their attention and they decided to established here their buen retiro. Over the time their stays expanded, this land exercising its powerful charm, and desires and projects are born. The first binds them to wine. It is Adega do Vulcao, the volcano’s cellar, which through the patient recovery of native vines in a peculiar terroir, offers under its label small productions of wines with a defined personality. Adega was born on the Island of Faial, near the dos Capelinhos volcano formed in 1957 following an eruption started in the sea a mile from the coast.
