The 2018 Comtes Lafon Meursault pours a pale lemon hue and unfolds with bright orchard fruit, Meyer lemon, pear, and white flowers, all lifted by a racy, mineral-accented bouquet. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied yet elegant—supple, succulent, with finely integrated oak and citrus-tinged acidity lending length and tension. Critics have responded warmly, awarding scores in the 89–93 range—from Allen Meadows (89–91), Jasper Morris (90), to La Revue du Vin de France (93) and John Gilman (“Outstanding”). 

Domaine des Comtes Lafon is a venerated estate in Meursault, Côte de Beaune, led by Dominique Lafon since the late 1980s. With a history stretching back to the 19th century, the domaine now practices fully organic and biodynamic viticulture, capturing the essence of Burgundian terroir with finesse.
