The 2009 Les Boucherottes magnum opens with a brilliant garnet‑ruby hue and aromas of black cherry, ripe red berries, cedar, and a refined earth‑driven minerality. On the palate it presents deep, full‑bodied structure with supple tannins, bright acid lift and a core of juicy dark fruit—balanced yet powerful. Mid‑palate layers of smoked wood, graphite, dried herbs and a hint of spice add complexity and drive. The 3 L format amplifies breadth and ageing potential, delivering a long, focused finish where cherry pit, forest floor and mineral threads linger. Given its vintage, this 2009 is already showing charm yet will clearly evolve gracefully for 10–15 years or more in proper cellaring.
Maison Louis Jadot, founded in 1859 and based in Beaune, is one of Burgundy’s most respected and historic houses. The Domaine des Héritiers label reflects its dedication to tradition, with vineyards across the Côte d’Or farmed with low yields and careful attention to site expression. Winemaking emphasises slow fermentations, limited new oak and generous ageing—ensuring each bottling reveals terroir rather than overt oak influence.
