The 2009 Rocche opens with aromas of dried red cherry, rose petal, leather, and underbrush, gradually adding tones of mocha and sweet spices with time. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied, featuring silky tannins and elegant grip, with flavors of red plum, licorice, and a faint earthiness. The finish is long and gentle, reflecting both the vintage’s warmth and the wine’s classical balance.
