The 2009 Muffato della Sala is a lush, botrytized dessert wine made primarily from Sauvignon Blanc, Grechetto, Traminer, and Riesling. It is golden in color, with rich aromas of dried apricot, candied citrus, saffron, and honeyed chamomile. The palate is opulent yet balanced by bright acidity, delivering layers of stone fruit, ginger, and caramelized pear with a long, silky finish.
