The 2019 Blanc opens with a luminous pale gold hue and a vibrant aromatic profile of roasted pineapple, white flowers, honeyed apricot and citrus zest, underpinned by a saline minerality. On the palate the wine is rich yet refined — generous stone‑fruit layers and beeswax meet bright acidity and a chalky finish that expands with time in the glass. The length and minerality hint strongly at age‑worthiness, while the texture invites enjoyment in the nearer term with decanting.
Château de Beaucastel is an iconic estate in the southern Rhône, with roots reaching back to the 16th century and a reputation built on both red and white wines in the Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape appellation. Their vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically, and for their Blanc cuvées they devote a high percentage of Roussanne alongside other estate‑varieties, vinified with precision to capture the terroir of rolled galets and clay‑limestone soils.
