Ca’ Marcanda is Gaja’s Tuscan venture, acquired in 1996 in Bolgheri, and conceived as a space for experimentation under Gaja’s rigorous standards. It leverages coastal terroir—“terres brune” and “terres blanches”—low yields, precise selection, and carefully tailored oak regimes to balance power with elegance and let the site speak.
