Cascina Roccalini is the passionate, micro‑estate of Paolo Veglio, nestled in the renowned Roccalini cru in Barbaresco—where his family has owned the land since 1920, although Paolo began bottling under his own label only in the early 2000s. Before striking out on his own, he sold his Nebbiolo fruit to illustrious neighbors such as Bruno Giacosa  . Paolo’s approach is rooted in tradition: organic and biodynamic farming, spontaneous fermentations with submerged-cap (steccatura) in concrete, and long élevage in large neutral barrels, all without fining or filtration  .
