This 100% Marsanne from Les Granilites opens with a strong yellow hue and bright green highlights, introducing a bouquet of delicate white flowers, white‑fleshed fruit (peach, pear), and subtle oak‐inflected aromatics. On the palate it is fresh and well‑balanced: medium‑bodied yet vibrant, with a lovely volume, taut mineral backbone and a long, lingering finish defined by stone‑fruit notes and subtle dessert‑like richness.
M. Chapoutier is a distinguished estate in the Northern Rhône Valley, with roots dating back to 1808 and now led by Michel Chapoutier under his “Sélection Parcellaire” philosophy. The domaine is renowned for biodynamic viticulture, plot‑specific bottlings and letting terroir speak—especially in granite‑rich sites such as Saint‑Joseph’s “Les Granilites”. In these steep vineyards, low yields, gentle extraction and careful aging (often using large barrels and minimal intervention) produce wines of precision, minerality and profound character.
