This striking white from Saint‑Joseph is crafted from 100 % Marsanne grown on steep granite soils, offering a vivid expression of place. It opens with aromas of white flowers, ripe white‑fleshed fruit (peach and pear), and a base of crushed stone minerality underscored by gently integrated oak. On the palate the wine is medium‑to‑full‑bodied yet lively, with a taut mineral spine, bright acidity, and a finish of length and finesse — fresh, precise, and built to evolve gracefully over the next decade.
M. Chapoutier is one of the most pioneering houses in the Northern Rhône, founded in 1808 and guided by Michel Chapoutier in recent decades, who championed biodynamic viticulture and terroir‑specific wine-making. Their philosophy emphasises minimal intervention, letting each vineyard speak for itself, and they were among the early adopters of Demeter certification and Sélection Parcellaire bottlings. With holdings across Hermitage, Côte‑Rôtie, Saint‑Joseph and beyond, the estate blends centuries of tradition with precision and innovation to produce wines of depth, authenticity and longevity.
