The 2019 Larcis Ducasse was hailed as “composed… effortlessly graceful” with aromas of fresh blackberries, plums, cedar chest, and spice; the palate reveals tightly wound structure, layered minerality, and lively freshness—scored 95–97 by Wine Advocate. Similarly, Jeb Dunnuck awarded 95–97, praising its rich, full-bodied complexity with dark fruits, scorched earth, and camphor notes. Farr Vintners echoed the acclaim (98–99 from James Suckling, 95 from Kelley) highlighting its polished depth, savory underbrush, and build—a classical yet powerful wine, best enjoyed from 2026 onward. Château Larcis Ducasse is an illustrious Saint-Émilion estate, elevated to Premier Grand Cru Classé B status in 2012. Its 11.3 hectares stand on a mosaic of limestone, clay, and chalk soils in the famed Côte Pavie area, neighboring Château Pavie itself. Since 2005, Nicolas Thienpont and David Suire have guided the estate through a transformation, introducing organic viticulture and meticulous winemaking—melding tradition with precision in a gravity-flow operation.
