The 2015 Musar Blanc is expressive and richly aromatic, offering notes of dried citrus, honey, warm orchard fruit, nuts, and a whisper of wax or oxidized character. Though matured, it retains freshness, with a texture that’s creamy yet linear and a finish framed by mineral and saline notes. In its current stage, it displays depth and complexity, with the balance to carry it through further evolution in bottle.
Château Musar is Lebanon’s legendary estate in the Bekaa Valley, founded by Gaston Hochar in the 1930s. The estate stands out for its commitment to indigenous grape varieties (Obaideh and Merwah for the whites) and a viticultural philosophy that favors natural techniques, minimal intervention, and extended aging. Musar whites are known for their oxidative styling, barrel aging, and the ability to evolve intriguingly over decades. Their house style often marries richness, complexity, and an unmistakable sense of terroir.
