The 2018 vintage of Château Nénin is a polished and refined expression of modern Pomerol. Crafted from a blend dominated by Merlot with Cabernet Franc, it offers seductive aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, crushed stone, and dark cocoa. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with silky tannins and vibrant acidity supporting layers of black fruit, tobacco, and spice. A wine of harmony and poise, it is approachable young but built to evolve beautifully over the next 15+ years.
Château Nénin is a historic estate in Pomerol that has undergone a remarkable transformation since being acquired by the Delon family (of Léoville Las Cases fame) in the 1990s. Located on the plateau of Pomerol, Nénin benefits from a mix of clay and gravel soils that produce structured, elegant wines with aging potential. Under the stewardship of Jean-Hubert Delon, the estate has embraced a more precise, terroir-driven approach, producing wines that balance Pomerol’s signature plushness with Left Bank-like definition and freshness.
