This 2018 vintage expresses concentrated power and elegance. On the nose it offers intense aromas of black raspberry, kirsch, garrigue herbs, and ground pepper, followed by hints of Turkish coffee and fig.  The palate is full‑bodied yet vibrant, showing steeped plum, black cherry and dark fruit framed by firm fine tannins, fresh acidity and smoky mineral depth.  The finish lingers with notes of warm earth, singed alder and wild Provençal herbs—this is a richly layered wine with both immediate appeal and the structure to evolve for many years. 

Located in Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape, Domaine Saint Préfert traces its origins to the 1930s and today is led by Isabel Ferrando, who brought fresh vision while preserving the estate’s emphasis on old‑vine Grenache, rocky galet soils, and minimal intervention.  Their philosophy underscores purity, terroir‑expression and restrained winemaking: the grapes are often whole‑cluster fermented, the vines deeply rooted, and the resulting wines built to age gracefully.
