The 2023 “Othello” is composed of 89 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 11 % Petit Verdot. It opens with vibrant aromas of purple plum, dark blackberry compote, and cacao, laced with sous‑bois and a whisper of graphite. On the palate it is medium to full‑bodied, with fine‑grained, creamy tannins, lively acidity and a polished texture. The fruit is ripe yet invigorating, the mid‑palate vivid, and a mineral undertow carries through to a long, graceful finish with hints of orange rind and forest floor. While approachable now, this wine retains enough structure and nuance to evolve interestingly over the next 8–12 years.

Located on the historic Napanook Estate in Yountville, Napa Valley, Dominus Estate was founded by Christian Moueix of Bordeaux fame and is dedicated to crafting Bordeaux‑style blends with a Napa spirit.
