This 2015 Rancia is widely celebrated for its depth and elegance. It delivers a rich bouquet of dark plum, blackberry pie, cedar, tobacco, violet, and Tuscan brush, all underpinned by dusted tannins and vibrant acidity. Critics have awarded it stellar scores—97 from Vinous, 95 from James Suckling, and 94 from Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate—calling it “sensual and finessed to the core” and “tremendous… impactful yet very elegant.” Its long, lingering finish makes it a grandeur-class Chianti ideal for both immediate pleasure and long-term cellaring.  

Fèlsina, rooted in Tuscany’s Chianti Classico zone, crafts distinguished Sangiovese-based wines from high-altitude vineyards around Castelnuovo Berardenga. Their Rancia Riserva is sourced from southwest-facing plots at 400–420 m elevation, planted in limestone-rich alberese and galestro soils. The wine is vinified with care—fermented in stainless steel and aged 18–20 months in French oak, followed by several months in bottle—resulting in an elegant, age-worthy expression of terroir.
