Bright, juicy, and pleasingly immediate, this Dolcetto offers sweet raspberry and orange peel notes, with earthy undertones drawing from its vineyard origins. It has firm but moderate tannins, clean acidity, and a tight finish — fantastic with roasted chicken, pasta, or herb‑based dishes. A vibrant, versatile red that drinks beautifully now, yet with enough structure for gentle aging.
Giacosa Fratelli is a fourth‑generation, family‑run winery based in Neive in the Langhe region of Piedmont. They are known for striking a balance between tradition and clarity: careful vineyard work, organic or low‑intervention practices, native yeasts, and attention to soil and slope. They cultivate plots in San Rocco, Treiso, including the “Sarrocco” vineyard, which sits at about 1,000 ft with calcareous clay soils. Their philosophy emphasizes freshness, varietal purity, and value — providing wines that reveal both fruit and structure without heavy manipulation. The estate avoids excess oak, preferring stainless steel or cement/neutral vessels to preserve freshness and express the vineyard rather than the winemaking.
