This wine is a blend of 85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Carménère. It shows aromas of dark berries—blueberry, blackberry—along with graphite and mineral notes. On the palate it is supple, elegant, and fresh, with fine tannins and a mineral-laced backbone that reflects its Maipo Andes terroir.
Haras de Pirque is an estate in Chile’s Maipo Valley, owned by the Antinori family, cultivating high-elevation vineyards in the foothills of the Andes with a focus on premium varieties such as Cabernet Franc and Carménère. Their Galantas line represents their flagship expression of Cabernet Franc, made with organic practices. The winery uses careful vinification—cold pre‑fermentation maceration, separate fermentations by plot, spontaneous yeasts—and then ages the wine about 14 months in French oak to highlight varietal purity and site character.
