The 1998 Taurasi Radici Riserva is a magnificent expression of mature Aglianico, offering a deep and evolved aromatic profile. Mastroberardino is one of the most historically significant wineries in Italy, and unquestionably the guardian of southern Italy’s noble red grape, Aglianico. Based in Irpinia, in the heart of Campania, the estate has been instrumental in reviving Taurasi and other ancient varietals, preserving traditions when others favored international styles. The Radici line, first released in 1986, quickly became the reference point for Taurasi and is produced only in the best vintages.
