Podere Salicutti, nestled just southeast of the Montalcino hilltop, was the first certified organic estate in the Brunello appellation—long before it was fashionable. Founded in the 1990s by Felix and Sabine Eichbauer (who also own Munich’s Michelin-starred restaurant Tantris), the estate is now a benchmark for purity, precision, and finesse in Brunello. With just 4 hectares under vine, Salicutti is intensely focused on terroir expression and minimal intervention, producing elegant wines from the vineyard parcels Piaggione, Sorgente, and Teatro. In recent years, Salicutti’s acclaim has grown internationally for its commitment to biodynamic practices, natural fermentations, and extended aging.
