The 2020 shows layers of golden apple, pear, lemon curd, toasted hazelnut, and subtle spice. On the palate it is rich but balanced: creamy texture meets vibrant acidity, with a chalky mineral thread and a long, refined finish.
Nibbio della Sala is a singular Chardonnay project from Antinori’s Castello della Sala estate in Umbria, situated atop Monte Nibbio at about 520 m elevation.The vineyard’s cool exposure and altitude help retain acidity and minerality. The wine is vinified with close-to-nature practices and aged on the lees—typically about 18 months in new barriques, aiming for clarity, texture, and site expression.
