The 2019 Cerrete opens with a deep violet hue and an arresting bouquet of black and blue fruits, including blackberry and wild plum, layered with exotic spice, deep underbrush, saddle leather and smoked earth.  On the palate, it delivers full‑bodied intensity with highly refined structure: powerful yet lifted flavours of dark cherry, licorice, graphite and dried herbs, supported by robust but polished tannins, vibrant acidity and a mineral streak that anchors the finish.  The finish is long and lingering, with echoes of tobacco leaf, licorice root and saline minerality that speak to its high‑altitude origin. While impressively accessible now with decanting, this wine is built for the long haul and will repay cellaring well into the next two decades.

Azienda Agricola Paolo Bea is a revered estate in the heart of Umbria’s Montefalco region, where generations of the Bea family have farmed biodynamically and with deep respect for the land.
