The 2021 vintage shows a creamy texture with aromatic notes of peach, pear, citrus, and a subtle spicy / smoky edge. On the palate it delivers a smooth, rounded experience—with integrated oak influence, good freshness, and a persistent finish marked by mineral tension and balance.
Bodegas Muga, founded in 1932 in Haro (Rioja Alta), is one of Rioja’s iconic estates—renowned for its commitment to traditional viticulture, its own cooperage, and careful blending across Rioja’s white and red varieties. Their white program, including the Flor de Muga Blanco, is a more recent but ambitious effort to craft premium Rioja whites that can rival great Burgundies: low-yield farming, selective harvest, small-lot vinifications, extended lees contact, and barrel aging.
