Crafted to mark Caparzo’s 50th anniversary, this special-edition Brunello from the superb 2015 vintage is a bold yet refined expression of Sangiovese Grosso. It opens with aromas of ripe black cherry, dried violets, sweet tobacco, and subtle spice, followed by a plush, rounded palate layered with dark berry fruit, leather, and earthy undertones. The tannins are velvety and well-integrated, supporting a long, elegant finish that speaks to both the richness of the vintage and the precision of the estate’s winemaking. A celebratory Brunello with cellar-worthy structure, it also drinks beautifully now with a gentle decanting.

Founded in 1970, Caparzo stands as one of Montalcino’s pioneering estates, known for its innovative spirit and exceptional vineyard holdings across the appellation.
