The 2019 vintage is a compelling expression of Saint-Julien finesse—offering a dense garnet-purple color with tantalizing notes of blackcurrant, crushed rocks, aromatic spice, and tobacco. The palate is medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, and refined, with juicy dark fruit, powdery tannins, and saline-driven length. It has received wide acclaim: 96 points from Neal Martin, 94–96 from Wine Advocate, and 94 from both James Suckling and Decanter, heralding it as elegant, focused, and long-lived with cellaring potential through 2040.
Château Gloria is a distinctive Saint-Julien estate founded by the visionary Henri Martin, who began amassing prime vineyard parcels in the 1940s from renowned 1855 Classed Growths to form a harmonious assemblage. Today, this 50-hectare estate—now managed by his family—enjoys a terroir-rich mosaic of gravel, sand, and clay soils, with a classic blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot. The estate’s consistency, professionalism, and attention to detail have earned it the affectionate reputation as “the most classified estate in Saint-Julien.”
