The 2015 Dominus is widely regarded as a benchmark vintage for the estate. The blend (86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc) opens with an extraordinary nose of wild blueberries, crushed blackberries, cassis, wild thyme, underbrush, iron ore and anise—with lavender and pencil‑lead hints.  On the palate it delivers sleek yet powerful energy: polished, pixel‑fine tannins support layers of black fruit, dark chocolate, tobacco and graphite minerality, culminating in a long, weightless finish.  This is a wine built to evolve over decades, yet with enough refinement to offer enjoyment today with decanting. 

Dominus Estate, located in Yountville within California’s Napa Valley, is the flagship project of Christian Moueix, famed for his work at Château Pétrus in Bordeaux. The property is managed with rigorous vineyard stewardship: dry‑farmed vines on gravelly clay‑loam soils, hand‑harvesting, optical berry sorting, minimal intervention in the cellar, and aging in French oak (typically ~40 % new) to preserve purity, structure, and terroir expression. Their philosophy emphasizes restraint and refinement in a region often associated with opulence, marrying Napa richness with Old World composure.
