“The IWM original returns, decades ago when we opened the store the Terre Alte and many other Super Friulians adorned the shelves of our Union Square store and it is nice to see this patriarch back where it belongs. This is an outspoken white and simply one of the of the most crowd-pleasing and thought-provoking we have tasted this year – there is simply a lot going on. It is something unique, with both its generous texture and balancing freshness.  It is a blend of Pinot Bianco, Friulano, and Sauvignon Blanc and you can taste each varietal in the wine. There is awesome citrus, spice, tropical fruit, herbs and minerality, you can expect nuances of pineapple, lemon, melon, elderflower, thyme, white pepper, ginger, a touch of flint, and salinity.
