The 2021 vintage is a standout: 96 points from Kerin O’Keefe, who called it “gorgeous… elegant and structured,” with aromas of dark spices, Morello cherry, cassis, and star anise, paired with taut, fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity; she recommends cellaring until 2029–2036. Monica Larner (WA) gave it 95+, noting its wild cherry and forest berry nuances, gentle mineral tones, and graceful structure, and predicts an elegant evolution through 2040. Wine Enthusiast (95 pts) described its cherry, blood orange, sage, and earthy top-soil bouquet, balanced by a chalky, precise, and mineral-driven palate.
Fèlsina, located in the Chianti Classico and Colli Senesi region of Tuscany, is revered for articulating the nobility of Sangiovese through expressive, terroir-driven wines. Its iconic cuvée, Fontalloro, is crafted from select high-elevation vineyards and is aged roughly 18 months in a mix of new and used French barriques, balancing power with elegance. This bottling embodies Fèlsina’s philosophy—where tradition and quality harmonize.
