This wine is intensely aromatic: black cherry leads, with accents of rose petal, leather, coffee beans, tar, and a hint of white truffle as it opens. Giacosa Fratelli is a fifth‑generation, family‑run winery in Neive, Piedmont, deeply committed to expressing the finest Nebbiolo from its owned vineyards. Their holdings span key Barolo crus, including Scarrone in Castiglione Falletto, which is prized for steep, clay‑calcareous soils with sandstone pockets, elevation, and exposure that offer both heat and cooling influence. Farming is sustainable with an emphasis on minimal intervention—hand harvest, native yeasts, long maceration, and aging in large oak casks—to preserve site character and purity.
