Crafted entirely from Nebbiolo grown in the estate’s Gattinara vineyards, the Rosato 2021 is a refined and gastronomic expression of the grape. Pale copper-pink in color, it offers a delicate, aromatic nose of wild strawberry, white peach, rose petal, and citrus zest, framed by subtle mineral and herbal notes. The palate is vibrant and linear, with bright red berry fruit, hints of watermelon, and a saline edge that reflects the volcanic terroir. Crisp acidity and a clean, dry finish make it both refreshing and food-friendly, perfect for pairing with antipasti, seafood, or light pasta dishes. Elegant and precise, it is a rosé with depth and character, showcasing Nebbiolo’s versatility.
Founded in 1906 in Gattinara, Piedmont’s northernmost and oldest DOCG, Nervi is the region’s historic benchmark for Nebbiolo-based wines. In 2018, the estate entered a new era when Roberto Conterno of Giacomo Conterno took ownership, bringing his exacting standards and deep knowledge of Nebbiolo to Alto Piemonte. The estate’s vineyards, including the celebrated crus Molsino and Valferana, sit on ancient volcanic soils rich in minerals, which impart a signature elegance and tension to the wines. Under Conterno’s guidance, Nervi has elevated its precision in both the vineyard and cellar, producing wines that combine traditional Gattinara finesse with the structure and longevity of the Langhe’s greatest Nebbiolo bottlings.
